airberlin introduces additional service from San Francisco for Summer 2017
Miami, Florida (PRWEB) August 03, 2016 -- airberlin increases nonstop flights to Germany in summer 2017
• New: San Francisco – Berlin-Tegel four weekly flights
• Frequency increase: Daily flights from San Francisco to Dusseldorf
airberlin has continued to increase its operations out of the U.S. and develop a more robust long-haul network to the United States, offering the only nonstop connection from San Francisco to Berlin and increasing the number of flights from San Francisco to Dusseldorf to seven per week in summer 2017.
"airberlin has already seen a strong expansion of its US network this year as we added San Francisco and Boston as new destinations and introduced several new frequencies to our existing US network. The further expansion of our US operations including the new flights between San Francisco and Berlin as well as the increased service to Dusseldorf to a daily service in summer 2017 shows that we are determined to continue on our path to position airberlin as a premium network carrier with a strong US footprint and an excellent proposition even for the most discerning business traveler,” said Stefan Pichler, Chief Executive Officers at airberlin.
“We are excited to offer daily nonstop flights to Düsseldorf, and the only nonstop service from San Francisco to Berlin in summer 2017,” said Airport Director Ivar C. Satero. “With nonstop flights to over 115 destinations, world-class terminal facilities, and easy access to both San Francisco and the Silicon Valley, we believe we are the right airport in the San Francisco Bay Area for new airlines and new routes. We thank airberlin for making SFO an integral part of their growth plans in America.”
San Francisco will be connected by four weekly nonstop flights with Berlin from the beginning of May 2017, adding up to a total of eleven weekly flights from San Francisco to Dusseldorf and Berlin combined.
The network improvement further reinforces the increasing importance of its hubs in Berlin-Tegel and Dusseldorf and the airline’s long-haul network to North America. In total, airberlin flies nonstop from eight US-destinations in summer 2017 to Dusseldorf and Berlin: San Francisco, New York (JFK), Boston, Chicago, Miami, Orlando (new), Fort Myers, and Los Angeles. The airberlin hubs in Berlin and Dusseldorf are conveniently connected with many airberlin destinations in Germany, Europe and beyond.
All Airbus A330-200 operating these flights are equipped with airberlin’s premium long-haul product: 19 seats in the exclusive FullFlat Business Class section and 271 Economy Class seats, including 46 XL Seats, which offer around 20 per cent more legroom.
