Alelo’s Enskill Platform Expands into Sixteen Countries
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) December 05, 2017 -- Following successful trials earlier this year in Chile, Thailand, and Colombia, Alelo’s Enskill® cloud-based learning platform is now in use at higher-ed institutions in 10 countries, with scheduled expansion to six additional countries during early 2018.
Enskill helps learners quickly learn new skills by role-playing with artificially intelligent interactive characters in simulations of real-life situations. Enskill uses speech recognition and natural language processing technology to deliver personalized learning interactions via Web browsers on desktop computers, tablets and smartphones. Learners can practice and explore alternatives in Enskill's safe environment, which builds confidence. The system continually collects responses from learners around the world, which Alelo uses to improve the artificial intelligence so it understands a broader and deeper range of learner responses and errors.
Learners are currently using Enskill to learn spoken English skills. There is a huge demand around the world for workers with good English skills, yet students in many countries do not get opportunities to practice with native English speakers. Enskill enables learners to practice their English with simulated English speakers, without fear of embarrassment.
Comments from program directors at the participating universities include:
"Alelo was pretty fun and groundbreaking. We have never seen such a tool and it has great potential to help students learn English. Innovation is the key today!"
"Such a great tool. very exciting and we can't wait to try it out!"
"Thanks, great tool for students and teachers!"
"I think this is awesome, I see the future."
Enskill is designed to be a component of digital learning ecosystems. Alelo has integrated Enskill with other major English language learning products to supplement those products with practice and assessment activities.
Alelo is planning trials with other languages in early 2018. It then plans to expand to other communication skills in healthcare, hospitality, sales and customer service. Alelo is building a Web-based Enskill Builder that will enable customers to create their own role-play simulations.
Alelo CEO Lewis Johnson notes: “I am proud of the fact that Alelo addresses an important learning problem in today’s world.”
Alelo is currently raising capital to further expand the global reach of the Enskill platform. For more information go to flashfunders.com/alelo.
