American Driveline Systems Appoints Brett Ponton as New CEO
Horsham, PA (PRWEB) September 09, 2013 -- American Driveline Systems, Inc. announced today that it has appointed Brett Ponton as President and CEO of the company, and its subsidiary corporations AAMCO Transmissions Inc., Cottman Transmission Systems, LLC, and Global Powertrain Systems, Inc. to take effect in September. Mr. Ponton brings over 20 years of senior management experience in the automotive service industry.

Prior to joining American Driveline Systems, Inc., Mr. Ponton was President and CEO of Heartland Automotive, the largest operator of Jiffy Lube stores in North America, with over 542 locations. Prior to Heartland Automotive in 2009, Mr. Ponton was an 18-year veteran of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. During his tenure with Goodyear and its affiliates, Mr. Ponton led the 800-store Goodyear retail division and was at one time responsible for all marketing functions for Goodyear’s multi-billion dollar tire business in North America. Mr. Ponton also served as the Vice President and General Manager for the Asia Pacific Region of Veyance Technologies, a Carlyle Group portfolio company and a spinoff from Goodyear based in Shanghai, China and later operating in Melbourne, Australia, where Mr. Ponton had responsibility for running all Asian operations for this global company.
