Arlington, TX (PRWEB) January 08, 2014 -- 2014 marks the 50th anniversary of the release of the Beatles American debut album “Introducing The Beatles.” Mensa members took this opportunity to rank their favorite Fab Four songs. The list was compiled from Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Beatles Songs. Members that participated in the poll were split into two age groups, “analog” (50+) and “digital” (30 and under) categories. The top-ranked song, “Hey Jude,” proved that great music crosses all generational lines.
“When it comes on the radio, or the jukebox (do they still have those?) or is played live, everybody knows the words and joins in no matter how young or how old,” said one of the participating members.
Here are the top 10 Beatles songs, as selected by Mensa members:
1. “Hey Jude”
2. “Let It Be”
3. “Yesterday”
4. “A Hard Day's Night”
5. “All You Need is Love”
6. “Eleanor Rigby”
