(PRWEB) September 16, 2014 -- Darrin explains the finger picking hand terminology as follows; the thumb is represented as P, the first finger as I, the second finger as M and the third finger as A. This piece of music is a great exercise for the beginner to get the hang of finger picking because of its simplicity and is a very recognizable passage of music. Darrin demonstrates how to play it as follows; open 6th string with thumb followed by the first and second strings being played simultaneously with the 2nd and third fingers to the 4th fret of the 6th string with 3rd finger and then the first two strings open to 2nd fret of the 5th string with first finger and the first two strings open. This sequence is played twice and followed by; open 5th string and then the first two strings open to the 3rd fret of the 5th string with 3rd finger followed by the fist two strings open to the 2nd fret with 2nd finger to the first two strings open to the open 5th string to the first two strings open to the 3rd fret of the 6th string followed by the first two strings open to the first fret of the 6th string with first finger to the first two strings open. Malagueña is a song written 1928 by Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona. The song has lyrics in Spanish, but has been translated into several languages and has become a popular, jazz, marching band, and drum corps standard.
