Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) July 11, 2014 -- ANY LAB TEST NOW®, the first direct access lab testing services business with more than 150 franchise locations across the U.S., congratulates San Marcos, Texas owner, Michelle Schlotter, on being the recipient of The Child Welfare Board Region 7 Volunteer of the Year Award, presented to her on May 22, for her innovative and impactful fundraising endeavors. Schlotter's outstanding efforts gained momentum after being asked to chair the Hays County Child Protective Board, HCCPB, fundraising committee in September of 2013.
Being a foster child herself and then becoming a foster parent as an adult, Schlotter was motivated and committed to have ANY LAB TEST NOW San Marcos become a true partner with the HCCPB and Child Protective Services, CPS. It was important for the HCCPB and CPS to partner with ANY LAB TEST NOW to do drug testing on parents and caretakers of children that are removed from their homes because of abuse and neglect in Hays County. This drug testing is done to verify the safety of children who are being reunified with their families. In addition to this initiative, Schlotter has organized numerous fundraisers resulting in thousands of dollars donated to the HCCPB. Schlotter’s current efforts include communicating with local businesses and organizations, asking for empty toner and ink cartridge donations in order to recycle them for cash. Also, Schlotter is working with a local business to host All-Day Training Fitness Days to benefit the community.

The Child Welfare Board of Texas Region 7, which serves 30 counties of the Texas Council of Child Welfare Boards (TCCWB), is committed to the support of neglected and abused children.
