Apollo Plumbing Releases Article Promoting Energy Efficient Plumbing
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) January 19, 2014 -- It’s reassuring for the populace of Greater Seattle to know that not only are big businesses cutting down paper use, promoting compost bins, and establishing exercise programs, the little businesses are supporting the ‘Going Green’ movement as well.
Apollo Plumbing recently wrote an article that strongly supports the use of water efficient toilets by homeowners. According to Apollo Plumbing, old-style toilets that were manufactured before the late 1980’s, are going to be guzzling about 5 gallons of water per flush. Since the average American goes to the bathroom 4-5 times per day, this adds up to a staggering amount of water. The article suggests that if American homeowners were to switch to a modern dual-flush toilet, an approximate 2 billion gallons could be saved.
The article goes on to detail the simple installation, and even has a ‘do-it-yourself’ suggestion for the handyman who cringes at the thought of dishing out money to a plumber. But even for those who aren’t DIY fans, the installation and purchase of a dual-flush toilet is surprisingly low.
