Art Curating is featured on "In America" with James Earl Jones
(PRWEB) April 17, 2015 -- IN AMERICA with the legendary host, James Earl Jones, is set to release the latest episode, this time focusing on art curating. Art curating is more than running a museum or displaying fine works of art. From small town art galleries to world class museums, there is so much more that goes on behind the scenes than most visitors truly know. This is why "In America" wants to educate viewers on exactly what takes place inside of these galleries and museums and what an art curator truly does.
It is up to the art curator to look into not only the qualifications of a particular artist or piece of art, but to look into the value of the work, its meaning on art in society and determine whether or not the addition of the piece would prove financially desirable or even feasible for a particular gallery. For smaller galleries, it is up to the art curator to seek out current, often up and coming talent from around the world in order to showcase the work, bring attention to the artist and, at the same time, bring possibly international attention to the gallery as well.
"In America" is an independent television production that is distributed across the nation to individual Public Television Stations to be aired at the station's discretion. "In America" is not a production of APT or PBS, nor does it have an affiliation with any of these organizations.
