Askari Defense & Intelligence and Clients Secure Contacts in Tripoli, Libya
(PRWEB) October 10, 2013 -- In September 2013, Askari Defense & Intelligence, LLC again introduced several Fortune 50 and other U.S and Canadian companies to business opportunities in Libya. Following extensive travel to Libya over the last 19 months, this was Askari's most recent excursion to the resource rich country.
Askari arranged and accompanied clients to meetings with the newly installed Minister of Defense as well as various military leaders, where they discussed airplane sales and maintenance. Working with the Libyan Air Chief and Chief of Acquisitions, the group held several meetings examining affordable and easily maintainable systems for surveillance (ISR), border security, and infrastructure protection.
A private tour of the Tripoli port and discussions with the Director of Ports for one client provided valuable insights on how the government plans to handle cargo and passenger traffic and facilities development. With water a scarce resource, a third firm showcased its cutting-edge technology used along the Colorado River to assist in identifying heretofore unidentified or untapped water resources needed for Libya’s growth.
Libya has extensive security and infrastructure needs, but it boasts a wealth of natural resources which provide revenue to pay for needed defense and other development.
Askari Defense & Intelligence, LLC is a program management and consulting company led by former Assistant Secretary of Defense Mary Beth Long and co-founder Mike Waltz, and brings leadership and strategic planning to select foreign governments, industry leaders, and government institutions requiring hands-on expertise and innovative solutions.
