Atomic Learning Showcases New LTI Tool at EDUCAUSE
Little Falls, MN (PRWEB) October 16, 2013 -- Atomic Learning, the trusted training solutions provider to 16 million individuals in more than 45 countries, will showcase its new Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) feature at the EDUCAUSE 2013 Annual Conference in Anaheim, Calif., Oct. 15–18. The LTI Tool allows professors to embed the Atomic Learning search library within their learning management systems (LMS) and easily integrate videos into courses.
The company also released an accompanying series of online training videos to help users understand how the LTI Tool enables simple and easy integration of Atomic Learning resources into an LMS, such as Blackboard®, Desire2Learn®, Moodle™, Canvas or Sakai.
“We want to make Atomic Learning’s resources as accessible as possible, and our new LTI Tool provides users at colleges and universities that convenience,” said Lisa Barnett, CEO of Atomic Learning. “Now, no matter what LMS a campus is using, they can connect and embed Atomic Learning content directly into their courses.”
The new tool gives faculty, students and staff direct access to the content they need in the systems they use daily, and was developed as a result of Atomic Learning joining the IMS Global Learning Consortium (IMS GLC), where the company provides leadership in regard to professional development, technology integration and support solutions.
In addition, at EDUCAUSE, Atomic Learning will discuss its latest higher education case study, which addresses how a professor from Fresno Pacific University in California used video tutorials from Atomic Learning to flip his classroom.
“Atomic Learning is pivotal to the class’s success,” said Robert Leitgeb of Fresno Pacific University, who uses the flipped classroom method to teach an entry-level Computer Literacy course. “We use Atomic Learning’s Windows 7 training series, as well as the intro videos to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for how-to training. Atomic Learning’s workshops, such as Effective Presentation Design, allow us to also provide conceptual technology training.”
