Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority to Sell Vehicles at Online Auction
Alabaster, Alabama (PRWEB) December 08, 2016 -- The Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority will sell surplus vehicles in an online auction with bidding closing on December 16 at 7 p.m. The vehicles include trolleys, buses, cars and sport utility vehicles. The majority of the trolleys and cars are in operating condition, and as many as 16 former transport buses are being sold as is for parts and salvage.
Auctioneer Chip Pearce, whose company Pearce & Associates will conduct the auction, reminds the public that trolleys like this don’t often come up for auction.
“This is a great opportunity for a small city interested in using a trolley as part of city services or for a business owner who is looking for an unusual vehicle to transform into a mobile food truck or marketing vehicle,” says Pearce.
