BloomBoard Catapults Education Reform in Arkansas
Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) April 18, 2014 -- With the Teacher Excellence and Support System and the Leader Excellence and Development System already in place, Arkansas begins its next push to improve its educational initiatives for the 2014-15 school year. Arkansas is collaborating with BloomBoard to increase the impact of its teacher effectiveness programs.
The implementation of a systematic, digital process will help improve the evaluation of educators within the state. BloomBoard will expand on TESS and LEADS, helping train local and state education leaders to seamlessly integrate the new technology with the existing initiatives.
“Arkansas is a great state to demonstrate how teacher effectiveness can be pursued in partnership with teachers and focused on their growth and development, all while achieving sustainability of implementation,” said Jason Lange, co-founder and CEO of BloomBoard. “Arkansas has been working hard to reform and progress their educational objectives, and we are extremely excited to help them streamline the process.”
Onboarding is scheduled for this coming summer. BloomBoard will work with 270 districts in the state, reaching more than 39,000 teachers in the process.
“Working with BloomBoard is a great step forward for educational development within the state,” said Karen Cushman Walters, Assistant Commissioner, Human Resources, Educator Effectiveness and Licensure, for the Arkansas Department of Education. “We believe that this collaboration will help both administrators and teachers with the management and efficiency of the system. More significantly, it will benefit the educators in our schools in their professional growth to positively impact student learning.”
