BraunAbility Secures Federal Supply Schedule Contract for Mobility Vehicles
Winamac, IN (PRWEB) September 05, 2014 -- BraunAbility’s market-leading lineup of wheelchair accessible vehicles has been added to the Veteran’s Administration Federal Supply Schedule (FSS). Through a partnership with the Adaptive Driving Alliance (ADA), a broad range of BraunAbility vehicle and mobility configurations will be available in the FSS effective immediately. BraunAbility will leverage ADA’s success and experience with the VA while providing more choice and better mobility solutions for the nation’s military veterans.
The foremost priority for both BraunAbility and ADA is ensuring veterans are aligned with a Certified Mobility Consultant from a mobility dealer approved by the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA). Only then can veterans be assured they’ve had a proper assessment to determine the best mobility solution for their needs. Furthermore, a NMEDA dealer will provide skilled and dependable service on mobility products to keep veterans secure and protected on the road.
“BraunAbility is very pleased to have an FSS contract to support individual dealers who have effectively served our nation’s veterans for decades,” says Jim Probst, Director of Product Portfolio for BraunAbility. “BraunAbility will provide the tools to help our NMEDA dealers successfully navigate the changing procurement systems of the VA.”
“BraunAbility has decades of experience satisfying veterans with mobility equipment since the Vietnam era,” states Paul Musso, Managing Director of the ADA. “ADA will support the BraunAbility dealer network with programs to reliably serve our nation’s veterans with the quality products and dedicated service they deserve.”
Market demographics show an increasing demand for mobility products across the community of military veterans. Through the ADA partnership, BraunAbility will provide competitively priced, medically appropriate conversions to better serve a population that, especially recently, deserves more timely and helpful service.

BraunAbility is the world’s leading manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vehicles and wheelchair lifts in the mobility industry. Founded nearly 50 years ago by Ralph Braun, the corporation was built on the age-old adage, “Necessity is the mother of invention.” Ralph Braun was a young man who used a wheelchair and had no reliable transportation to and from his place of work. He built his first wheelchair accessible vehicle in 1972, and since then the company has grown into the most well-known and experienced name in the mobility industry, bringing independence to tens of thousands of individuals across the world.
