BreakThrough Physical Therapy to Support 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb
Greensboro, NC (PRWEB) September 11, 2014 -- BreakThrough Physical Therapy (BTPT) is proud to be sponsoring the fourth annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the Bellemeade Parking Deck at 220 N. Greene Street in Greensboro, NC.
The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is hosted by Greensboro Public Safety (Fire, Police, GM911) in honor of the 343 firefighters and 72 police officers who perished at the World Trade Center. Registered participants will climb the eight flights of stairs at the Bellemeade Parking Deck nine times – approximately 72 flights of stairs – signifying the highest floor New York Fire Department firefighters reached on 9/11.
“We are truly honored to be sponsoring this event and to have a few of our own participating,” said Mark Watson, BreakThrough Physical Therapy’s Chief Operating Officer. “Saturday will be a very special day for all involved and we look forward to coming together with the community to remember those who selflessly sacrificed for us thirteen years ago.”
Registration for the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb will begin at 7:30 am on September 13. There is no registration fee, but participants are encouraged to donate. Donations made this year will support Ignite the Spirit, a non-profit organization that supports firefighters and their families in times of need, and Lindy’s Kids of the Kellin Foundation, a non-profit that provides assistance to kids and families to help ensure safety and wellness.
