Broadway Stars Come Out to Celebrate Wedding of Disability Pioneer
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 26, 2014 -- Anne Tramon, of Sound Associates Inc, who is celebrating 35 years helping disabled children and adults alike experience live theatre on Broadway, often for the first time, is getting married. It will be an ALL-STAR event, as the Broadway community is coming out to celebrate the joyous day with her. Seth Rudetsky, who is known as "Mr. Broadway" and "The Amaahzing Seth" hosts many Broadway, TV, and radio programs, and is considered the musical director to the stars. Seth will be leading the reception, with Andrea McArdle ("Annie", etc.), Mark McVey ("Phantom", "Les Mis"), Terri Klausner ("Evita", "Sophisticated Ladies"), Brooke Sunny Moriber ("Threepenny Opera", "Follies"), Kimberly Faye Greenberg ("Fanny Brice"), Rachel Lorin (TVs "The Next Big Thing") and many more, after which THE BRONX WANDERERS will perform as well. Danny Aiello has also given his intentions to come and participate.
The entire event will be fashioned after a Broadway show. There will be an official Playbill, a red carpet, a publicity photo wall, etc., with the ceremony being ACT I, the cocktail hour being INTERMISSION, Seth and the Broadway stars being ACT II, and the WANDERERS being the Opening Night After-Party. There will also be some surprise guests and performers.
This will all be happening this Sunday, 9/28 at 5:30 PM, at The Venetian in Garfield, NJ.
Anne, who spearheaded the Infrared Listening System with Sound Associates Inc. for which they won a Tony Award, helped to develop services and technologies that enabled generations of children and adults who are deaf, blind, severely hard of hearing, or even non-English speaking, to finally be able to participate in the entire experience of live theatre, thus creating an entirely new demographic on Broadway and around the country.
Anne is marrying Hy Chait, also a theatre disability advocate and worker. Anne's three children, Diana, Dan, and Carl, are accomplished writers and performers of Musical Theatre, and have two musicals that have been touring the U.S.: FLYER (about the Wright Bros.), and ROCKET BOYS (with Homer Hickam Jr. and Universal Pictures, soon to be in Atlanta). Anne herself is a Juilliard graduate in concert piano. Hy's son Barry is a US Federal Judge appointed by Attorney General Eric Holder.
Anne is a longtime resident of East Rutherford, NJ and has a summer home in Barnegat, NJ with her new husband.
