Bucks County Caterer, Modern Palate, Announces Event Design and Décor Division
Colmar, PA (PRWEB) May 19, 2014 -- Modern Palate’s unique and creative approach to cuisine has been the driving force behind creating a strong presence in the Bucks County and Philadelphia area. An increasing need for creative ideas, not just in food, has allowed for a new division in the company, creative design and décor.
Maureen Ferguson, holding the title of ‘Creative Director,’ manages this division. Maureen is the former owner and curator of MyMy in New Hope, PA, a boutique specializing in handmade and vintage products. She is no stranger to event services; her father was a chef who owned several restaurants and frequently catered events. Her father would often ask her to assist in picking out linen colors and patterns, creating floral arrangements, and handwriting menu cards in a style to match the theme or feel of an upcoming event; she never hesitated to take on an artistic challenge.
In effect, her upbringing cultivated a passion for décor and design. As a shop owner, Maureen was host to many elaborate product launches, book signings, and holiday parties which allowed her to expand her event design talents. Leaving MyMy to take on the role of ‘Creative Director’ for Modern Palate allows her to create on a broader scale by crafting an experience.
