Canadian Stone Industries Adds Boral TruExterior® Trim to Distribution Offerings
Roswell, Ga. (PRWEB) March 10, 2015 -- Canadian Stone Industries (CSI), Canada’s premier distributor of innovative masonry and building component products, has added Boral TruExterior® Trim to its portfolio of products and solutions. A number of other Boral® products, including Cultured Stone® by Boral® and Boral Versetta Stone® are currently featured in CSI’s over 350 showrooms.
“The addition of our Boral TruExterior® Trim products to CSI’s catalog allows us to touch specifiers in all corners of Canada,” said Tom Zimmerman, Director of Sales and Marketing for Boral’s Light Building Products Division. “Our standing partnership with CSI has provided a number of strategic benefits for us. With service to a network of over 400 dealers, CSI has the ability to bring preferred masonry, siding and building materials to a wide variety of customers. Because they are the leading resource for education and support in the Canadian market, this partnership allows us to expand upon our efforts to establish the poly-ash category throughout North America.”
CSI has been the premier Canadian supplier of Cultured Stone® by Boral® for over 20 years, and began carrying Boral Versetta Stone® in 2013. Primarily a masonry-based distributor, CSI’s inventories also include rainscreen and lathe solutions. The addition of Boral TruExterior® Trim will be the company’s first venture into the trim market. CSI will make Boral TruExterior® Trim available in all showrooms and will distribute the product out of its warehouses in British Columbia and Ontario.
Boral TruExterior® Trim pioneered the new poly-ash category of the exterior trim market. Recognized for sustainability, workability, durability and a high level of dimensional stability even in the face of extreme temperature and moisture changes, Boral TruExterior® Trim outperforms both natural and manmade competing products. Boral TruExterior® Trim is offered in a primed finish ready for paint and closely resembles traditional wood trim. And while Boral TruExterior® products permit the installer to use conventional woodworking tools and methods, they require less maintenance and upkeep than wood-based trim options. The product line’s unique material composition, fly-ash and a proprietary polymer blend, helps to prevent rotting, splitting and termite issues while easing installation. It is suitable for ground contact and does not require additional priming or end sealing – issues commonly associated with traditional wood trim products.
Boral TruExterior® Trim is distributed and sold as a high-performance alternative to fascia boards, soffits, frieze boards, rake boards, garage door casings, window surrounds, porch ceilings and door trim, among many other non-structural applications. It appeals to builders, remodelers and homeowners alike.
