Provo, Utah (PRWEB) October 29, 2015 -- Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, has released a new career profile video providing a behind-the-scenes look into what a typical day in the life of a pharmacy technician looks like. The new video is just under three minutes in length and follows a Career Step pharmacy technician graduate.
“The need for qualified pharmacy technicians is consistently growing,” said Jerolyn Robertson, Career Step Vice President of Academics. “With a large number of pharmacy locations throughout the country and with many locations open 24 hours a day, becoming a pharmacy technician is a great way to start working in healthcare quickly.”
The video follows Adria Horrocks, a Career Step pharmacy technician student who graduated in 2014. Adria is now able to spend more time with her family due to her flexible work schedule and a shorter commute. In the video, she describes what her average day looks like and how her career choice has impacted her family, which includes working less and earning more than she did at her previous position.
“Choosing to get an education and begin a new career is an extremely important decision,” said Ben Hartman, Career Step Vice President of Enrollments. “Our goal is to help people feel confident making this life-altering choice, so we interviewed Adria to give everyone the opportunity to see and hear from someone who changed careers to become a pharmacy technician. We hope that seeing the positive impact in her life will give those considering a career as a pharmacy technician a better idea of what is possible for them.”
Career Step has been training pharmacy technicians since 2010. The school’s Pharmacy Technician program is entirely online, allowing students to train at their own pace and on their own schedule. The program prepares students to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam, the most-widely recognized and accepted certification.
