CBS ‘Stalker’ Stars Maggie Q, Elisabeth Rohm Speak Out On Behalf Of Best Friends Animal Society’s Save Them All Campaign
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) October 01, 2014 -- An action hero and a supermom are calling on Americans to join Best Friends Animal Society’s campaign to save the lives of shelter cats and dogs.
Maggie Q is starring in the new CBS thriller “Stalker,” premiering Oct. 1 and Elisabeth Rohm will co-star as a series regular.
Q and Rohm are the latest celebrities to join Best Friends Animal Society’s Save Them All® campaign. They join Danny Trejo, Carrie Ann Inaba, Denise Richards, Nils Lofgren, Josef Newgarden, Amanda Seyfried and other luminaries participating in Best Friends’ photo campaign featuring celebrities posed with their personal rescued dogs and/or cats in support of the Save Them All call to action.
Known for her roles in movies including the “Divergent” franchise, “Live Free or Die Hard,” and “Mission Impossible III,” Q most recently starred in the title role as a rogue assassin on the CW’s series “Nikita.
Rohm is an award winning actress, author and Super Mom. Her television credits include: “Law & Order,” Lifetime’s “The Client List,” CW’s “Beauty and the Beast,” NBC’s “Heroes” and ABC’s “Big Shots”; her movie credits include: the critically acclaimed “American Hustle,” “Transit,” “Officer Down,” “Chlorine” and “Dark Room.” Last year Rohm released her first book "Baby Steps: Having the Child I Always Wanted Just Not As I Expected" and she continues to write a popular mommy blog for People.com.
Q said: "I think my deep love for animals came into the world with me. I got lucky. It was never a decision to love or respect them, it just was. Dignity in one's life, no matter what species, is created when we can give one another the worth that is owed. I rescue because there is no better way to show that. And no better way to live."
Rohm said she is joining Best Friends call to action because “I can't imagine a world without (my dog) Blue. It was an instant love! I am forever grateful to Best Friends for making our family complete and expanding our joy tenfold. We can Save Them All and we must."
