Charter Schools USA’s 2014 Principals Institute Takes Place This Week
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (PRWEB) June 25, 2014 -- Today Charter Schools USA (CSUSA) opened its annual Principals Institute aimed at offering new and veteran principals opportunities for professional development. The theme of this year’s institute is “Great By Choice: Getting to More Without Settling for Less.”
“CSUSA is committed to professional development and advancement throughout all levels of our organization,” said Sherry Hage, Chief Academic Officer of CSUSA. “Bringing together our leaders from across our network of schools allows us to establish best practices and continue to provide the best education possible for our students.”
Twenty-five different workshops have been planned to help new principals and seasoned veterans develop into better leaders for our schools. Topics cover a wide range of aspects that make CSUSA’s charter schools successful, including talent recruitment and development, innovation, public relations, and developing a foundation for greatness in their schools.
Part of the institute will be a roundtable discussion centering on school choice and the ways in which education reform are currently discussed nationally. Speakers have been chosen from a variety of fields with different insights into the challenges facing our education system.
“We have made a commitment to our teachers, principals, and professional educators that we will work together to stay on the forefront of our industry,” said Jon Hage, CEO and founder of CSUSA. “The leaders of our schools work around the clock to improve and enhance our classrooms and this week is perfect example of these efforts.”
The convention is being held at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs Hotel. Principals from all 70 schools in the CSUSA network will be in attendance.
