Bourbonnais, IL (PRWEB) August 04, 2015 -- For the third consecutive year, the HearStrong Foundation and volunteers from EarQ, the foundation’s main sponsor, promoted the importance of hearing better to local families at the 2015 Bears Care Back to School Health Fair.
Held at the home of the Chicago Bears training camp, Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL, on August 1, the event enabled hundreds of underprivileged children to access specialized healthcare services, school supplies, and much more.
The HearStrong team, including representatives from Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL, and the Chicago Hearing Society, provided attending families with free hearing health screenings and helped change the way they view hearing loss and today’s advanced hearing devices.
“Joining Bears Care and the Catholic Charities Diocese of Joliet at this special community event is truly something we look forward to each year,” said Ed Keller, president and founder of the HearStrong Foundation. “Through continued participation at large-scale events such as this, we are making great strides for national hearing health awareness and inspiring the 30 million Americans with untreated hearing loss to improve their overall wellness by choosing to hear better.”
