CloudLinux Releases OptimumCache, an Exclusive Density Enhancer for CloudLinux Servers
Arcadia, CA (PRWEB) June 11, 2015 -- Innovating shared hosting operating system (OS) developer CloudLinux (http://www.cloudlinux.com) announced today the availability of OptimumCache, an exclusive feature that helps hosting providers to dramatically enhance server performance and density. OptimumCache detects and creates a cache of duplicate files on disk. All duplicates get loaded from a singular copy of the file, creating only one instance in memory cache. System bypasses disk IO for duplicates, significantly improving speed of reading that file, decreases memory footprint, increasing cache usage, all while lowering load on the hard disk.
“Our mission at CloudLinux is to deliver the most stable and profitable servers, and we have been proudly doing so for the past 5 years”, said Igor Seletskiy, Founder and CEO at CloudLinux. “In shared hosting, disk subsystem is one of the common bottlenecks on the server. OptimumCache is able to significantly decrease the load on the disks, removing the bottleneck, and giving web hosting providers the ability to host more customers on the same hardware.”
CloudLinux unveiled results of its beta testing customers showing increased server performance, density, and reduced server load by ~30%. Best results shown for hosting servers running large number of similar Web applications, such as WordPress, Joomla, Magento etc.
Here is what beta customers have found:
• Average system CPU usage dropped by 30%
• Average IO Wait dropped by 52%
• Average total CPU usage dropped by 25%
• Average disk utilization dropped by 50%
• Up to 20% latency improvements for popular URLs
On June 25th at 1pm EDT/10am PDT CloudLinux will hold a live webinar where important features and testing results will be covered. Registration is available at https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5953671113421362946
OptimumCache is free for CloudLinux customers; supported systems include CloudLinux 6.x 64bit and EXT4 filesystem. CloudLinux 7.x will be supported soon.
