Cloudorado Launches New Cloud Computing Comparison Service
Gdansk, Poland (PRWEB) January 29, 2015 -- Cloudorado today announces major updates to their cloud computing comparison service. The revamped version compiles price and non-price related aspects of numerous cloud computing services in a single comparison tool, thereby enabling users to easily determine which cloud provider best fits their organization’s specific needs in terms of both cost and functionality.
“I’m extremely excited about the new release,” says Cloudorado founder Marcin Okraszewski. “We have completely redesigned the service to become the one-stop cloud computing comparison resource. It introduces a lot of new capabilities, which will allow users to make even better decisions and eventually contribute to their success.”
The updates build upon the previous version’s ability to compare price-related aspects of cloud computing services by matching cloud servers from multiple cloud computing providers to users’ specific sizing requirements (RAM, CPU power, disk size, operating system, transfer, location), as well as to calculate the monthly price of required servers and factor in any discounts that may apply (e.g. Amazon's reserved instances). The new version enhances and improves the cloud hosting cost comparisons, adding multi-tier deployments, load balancers, cloud storage (also known as object storage, cloud files or blob storage), and fixed IPs.
The new comparison components are the non-price related aspects of the cloud hosting providers. The updated service now takes 117 distinct features into account, which include: security compliance and certifications (SSAE 16, HIPPA, FISMA, PCI DSS, etc.); cloud management features; support levels; SLA; elasticity of the offers; level of reliability; available services; various technical details regarding networking, servers, used technologies, and security design; licenses; billing details; support by third-party tools; and many more.
The new design gives users two convenient ways to compare features. Through a filtering tool, users can narrow down cost comparison results by selecting the options that fit their needs. This provides users with the best price offers that meet all of their functionality requirements. Users can also view a table that compares all of the providers’ various features.
With thousands of options to choose from, it could take days to research and compare offers manually. Specific information can be difficult to find and often requires lengthy conversations with sales representatives. For many people, the task becomes too daunting.
“Surprisingly, companies will often go with the first provider they find, just because comparing manually is a hard task and can take days or even weeks,” explains Okraszewski. “By doing so, they might be missing out on the provider that is the best fit for them. Cloudorado aims to improve the process, making it quick and easy.”
“Cloud computing providers support critical applications, which often are revenue sources, while cloud services can also be a major source of costs. Therefore selecting a provider is an important decision which should be well analyzed,” adds Okraszewski. “We’ve already seen our comparison tools working, as we’ve helped organizations evaluate cloud services of a total yearly value of $190 million.”
