CM First Responds to Responsive Web Design Challenge
Austin, TX (PRWEB) February 03, 2016 -- Beginning a practice of continuous updating of software, CM First will be offering enhancements to CM WebClient during 1Q’16, ensuring that the product offering meets the ongoing and growing challenges customers face. CM WebClient helps customers move towards the goal of Responsive Web Design (RWD), an approach to development that focuses on a great viewing and interaction experience on whatever device the user chooses. Users can enjoy the same quality experience on any device and developers only have to create one application which will work on all devices.
The new features of CM WebClient will include must-have capabilities such as adding a new, modern ‘flat’ theme for browser applications. The trend towards graphic simplification and elegance is a hot trend now; while 3D was popular in the early days of the Web, the public now wants clear, clean pages.
“Customers tell CM First that the demand for web and mobile applications exceeds the capacity to create them using standard methods,” said John Rhodes, CTO. “There’s a huge skillset required to support native cross-browser and cross-device development. CM WebClient eliminates that issue and allows CA Plex and CA 2E developers to quickly respond to these requirements with a customer-pleasing result.”
CM WebClient will offer support for the Microsoft Edge Browser. Most features are supported in the current release, but this marks official support for all elements. Also important is the additional CA 2E (Synon) screen migration support. CM WebClient will include templates to display migrated 2E screens as cutting edge UX implementations. The release also adds support for Google Docs; now CA Plex/CM WebClient applications will be able to open and view documents which are compatible with Google Docs hosting.
Also added are layout control enhancements which make it easier to automatically scale controls such as grids to the browser size, thus accommodating the larger, more commonly-used HD screens. CM WebClient users can use additional panel properties to render buttons with custom designs and show images in grids automatically, when needed. Mobile camera enhancements include a ‘progress’ bar for image upload and more.
Web Client training is also being upgraded with this release. Get Trained on Web Client through April 30, 2016 and get a free copy of Web Client. Several teams can also receive a free license for Hsync, an excellent companion with Web Client for local data collection. This is a limited time offer.
“CM WebClient has helped customers modernize legacy applications and delight both customers and employees,” said Christoph Heinrich, CEO. “CM First continues to continually raise the bar with this industry-leading solution.”
