Coca-Cola Amatil Partners with Signal360 to Facilitate Frictionless Beverage Redemption from Vending Machines
(PRWEB) October 24, 2016 -- Signal360, the leader in beacon and proximity technology, is pleased to announce a project with Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA), one of the largest bottlers of non-alcoholic ready-to-drink beverages in the Asia-Pacific region, and one of the world's five major Coca-Cola bottlers. The bottler is now leveraging the Signal360 patented audio technology to enhance the user experience at vending machines by facilitating a secure authentication mechanism that allows vending machines to quickly and efficiently serve beverage products through Coca-Cola Amatil’s Vendswift mobile application.
There are currently 50 vending machines equipped with Signal360 technology in a limited geographic trial, and the VendSwift solution is now available to be used at these machines.
Andy Kerr, General Manager of Vending Systems Services at Coca-Cola Amatil noted, “Our objective was to create a fun, new and value-added way for consumers to interact with our vending machines by leveraging technologies like Signal360’s audio solution, we can provide our consumers with an efficient vending experience and get rewarded for their purchases.”
“The Signal360 audio technology is unique, not simply because it can be leveraged for marketing purposes, as it is used in our beacon hardware at stores and stadiums, but also because it can be leveraged in value-added ways through existing speaker infrastructure, like how Coca-Cola Amatil is utilizing it with their new Vendswift vending machines, in order to facilitate a smoother authenticated redemption process,” says Lev Raslin, VP of Sports & Entertainment for Signal360.
