Community Foundation Announces FY2018 Grant Application Cycles
Frederick, Maryland (PRWEB) June 19, 2017 -- The Community Foundation of Frederick County announces its FY2018 dates for strategic and impact grant application periods and grant information sessions.
Applications for strategic grants will be accepted July 15, 2017 through August 15, 2017. Nonprofits providing programs supporting access to health care, prevention of homelessness and access to affordable housing, and improving school readiness for children should apply.
Applications for impact grants will be accepted August 15, 2017 through September 15, 2017. Nonprofits providing programs that impact health and human services, historic preservation, the arts, agriculture, civic causes, animal welfare, education, youth programs, elder care and more should apply.
All grant applications are made through the Community Foundation’s online application process, and details can be found at http://www.FrederickCountyGives.org/receive/grants.
Four optional grant informational sessions will be held at the Community Foundation’s office, located at 312 E. Church St, Frederick, MD: Tuesday, June 27 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.; Wednesday, June 28 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.; Wednesday, June 28 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.; and Thursday, June 29 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Each session is limited to 20 participants. Nonprofit representatives should email gsadmin(at)FrederickCountyGives(dot)org with their preferred date, or call the Community Foundation office at 301.695.7660. Each session will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
To be eligible to apply, organizations must certify it is one of the following: a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; a government agency applying for an extraordinary project that is not funded by tax revenue; a religious organization requesting funding for non-sectarian activities, or a civic group that is not a 501(c)(3) requesting funding for a community cause.
