Concrete Contractor Magazine Welcomes New Editor, Ryan Olson
Fort Atkinson, WI (PRWEB) February 27, 2014 -- Concrete Contractor/Polishing Contractor magazine announces the hiring of Ryan Olson as its new editor. An experienced writer and editor, Olson has served in editorial roles for a variety of markets, including decorative surfaces, furniture and cabinetry manufacturing, and the janitorial/sanitation market.
He started his editorial career in 2000 at Cygnus Business Media as an associate editor of Laminating Design & Technology magazine, and later become editor of LD&T and Wood Digest magazines.
Olson left the company from 2005-2007, returning to Cygnus in 2007 as editor of Maintenance Supplies and Campus Facility Maintenance magazines. A native of Lander, Wyo., Olson came to Wisconsin to attend the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, where he received his bachelor of science degree.
“Coincidentally, 20 years ago, I worked a summer with a concrete contractor in Lander, Wyo. While technologies have improved, the basic concepts are much the same,” he reflected. “One thing is for certain, I know first-hand how hard the concrete contractor works to achieve a finished product.”
Olson invites readers to contact him at [email protected] to discuss potential editorial opportunities for future issues and to share their knowledge about this exciting market.
Concrete Contractor, which publishes seven issues each year and reaches 27,000 subscribers, delivers information to help cast-in-place concrete contractors build their projects and run their businesses more profitably. Each issue of Concrete Contractor includes a second/flip cover, Polishing Contractor, featuring polished, decorative concrete services.
