Consumer Reports Names Glenn Derene As Electronics Content Development Team Leader
Yonkers, NY (PRWEB) October 07, 2013 -- Consumer Reports, the world’s largest independent product-testing organization, has welcomed recognized technology expert Glenn Derene as its new Electronics Content Development Team Leader.
In his new role, Mr. Derene will lead the development and implementation of content strategy for electronics and technology coverage that will serve Consumer Reports’ extensive portfolio of digital and print products and services. Mr. Derene will oversee a team of reporters, editors, and content creators who interact with Consumer Reports’ army of lab testers to provide consumer electronics content to the organization’s flagship properties including Consumer Reports magazine, which has a circulation of more than 4 million, and ConsumerReports.org, the world’s largest subscription-based website with 3.2 million subscribers, as well as to digital and interactive products and services, newsletters and special publication products.

An established name in the magazine industry, Mr. Derene comes to Consumer Reports with almost two decades of experience as a professional journalist. He most recently served as Senior Technology Editor at Popular Mechanics magazine and was a contributing technology editor to Forbes Online. Derene has also appeared regularly on national broadcast and cable news programs.
