Crave Interactive Announces Integration with Award Winning InfoGenesis® POS System from Agilysys
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) November 08, 2016 -- Crave Interactive, the world leading developer of in-room tablets for hotels, today announced a new integration with the award-winning InfoGenesis® POS system from Agilysys, Inc. (NASDAQ: Agys), a leading global provider of next-generation hospitality software solutions and services.
InfoGenesis POS is the standard-defining point-of-sale system for some of the biggest names in the hospitality industry, from luxury resort groups and high-end cruise companies to family restaurant chains. It is also a leading POS system among Las Vegas casino resorts. The solution is now fully integrated with Crave’s state-of-the-art in-room tablets.
“We have now been certified as an integration partner with Agilysys, which makes us part of an integration network comprised not only of many major players in the hospitality tech world but also global giants like Microsoft, Dell and Epson,” said Crave Commercial Director Tim Butterworth.
According to Butterworth, integration with the systems of other hospitality solution providers is an integral part of Crave’s way of working. Our in-room tablets are on the way to becoming a standard feature in high-end resort properties,” he said. “Early adopters embraced the Crave product several years ago, and it’s now moving into the mainstream, so integration with other systems and digital solutions that a hotel may already be using is becoming increasingly important.”
The Crave interface with InfoGenesis POS is highly sophisticated, according to Crave’s CEO and Founder, Gareth Hughes. “We’ve developed a high level of expertise when it comes to creating integrations with other software systems, thanks to our own extremely advanced proprietary operating system, Crave OS, and its innate flexibility. The new interface with InfoGenesis POS will support dynamic pricing in environments where a property frequently changes the prices of its various products, whether in restaurants, spas or other on-site settings.
“Being able to update prices instantly from within the Crave system – so that updates go live immediately – has always been a central feature of Crave’s solutions. Now, thanks to the integration, they will update automatically on the in-room tablets after changes are made in InfoGenesis POS,” he said.
According to Hughes, InfoGenesis POS is the dominant point-of-sale system in the major casino resort on the Las Vegas strip – an environment in which Crave has been making dramatic in-roads since the installation of its tablets in every room at ARIA Resort & Casino earlier this year.
“Crave’s in-room tablets allow hotels to move from outdated and costly printed room service menus and directories to sleek, state-of-the-art guest-facing digital devices that deliver instantly undateable content, direct digital ordering, push messaging, tailored promotions and guest communications,” he said.
The company’s Crave T2 – which features in all 4,004 rooms at ARIA in Las Vegas – is the second generation of the groundbreaking 10” Crave Tablet, the world’s first guest-facing digital device designed specifically for use in hotel guest rooms.
