Cremation Society of Virginia Hosts Tree of Remembrance Event
RICHMOND, Va. (PRWEB) December 20, 2017 -- Cremation Society of Virginia in Richmond is hosting a memorial event this holiday season to commemorate those who are no longer with us. The Richmond community is invited to visit the office at 7542 West Broad Street on Thursday December 21 from 2-7pm to help decorate a Tree of Remembrance in honor of those who will be missed this holiday season. There is no need to RSVP for this event, so guests can arrive throughout the event to celebrate the lives of their loved ones in a unique way.
Families and friends will be able to decorate a clear ornament which will be placed on a Christmas tree in the Cremation Society of Virginia Richmond office during the holiday season. Each ornament can represent a loved one in a unique way, whether through their likeness, name, or depiction of their favorite pastime. Creating an ornament in their loved one’s honor allows guests to have a safe space to reflect on their memories with their loved ones from previous holiday seasons. It’s a time for the community to come together over crafting and refreshments, to be thankful for their memories with their loved ones, and to keep those memories alive by creating each ornament.
“We wanted to host this event for anyone who has lost a loved one at any point in their life,” Cremation Society of Virginia Richmond Location Manager Veronica Reyes said.
Those who choose to decorate the Tree of Remembrance will also have access to Cremation Society of Virginia Richmond cremation counselors as a resource. The cremation counselors will be able to answer any questions that guests may have about the cremation process or the Cremation Society of Virginia Richmond itself.
