Crimson Cup Welcomes Rustic Joe’s Coffee House in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania
Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) February 26, 2018 -- Columbus, Ohio Coffee Roaster Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea recently welcomed Rustic Joe’s Coffee House to the group of independent coffee shops, cafés and bakeries it supports in 36 states. The shop at 4983 National Pike in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania was one of 20 new independent coffee shops that opened in 2017 through Crimson Cup’s 7 Steps to Success coffee franchise alternative program.
“We’re excited to welcome owners DaVonne and Matt Leber and their team to the Crimson Cup community,” said Greg Ubert, founder and president. “Helping entrepreneurs develop unique coffee businesses is a big part of our success as a coffee roaster and coffee shop franchise alternative.”
Rustic Joe’s can be found in the main building of Leber’s Log Cabins, a family business established in 1932 by Roy and Frances Leber, two Midwest brothers of German decent. They fell in love with Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highland Mountains, purchased land and turned local timber into log cabins. Located along scenic Route 40 – also known as The National Pike – the cabins and new coffee house are near the borders of Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.
The new coffee shop serves a full menu of hot, iced and frozen espresso drinks – including mochas, lattes and cappuccinos – as well as iced coffee and tea, cold-brewed coffee, hot chocolate, fruit smoothies and other custom drinks. Its signature drink is the Rustic Joe’s Mocha, which melds white chocolate, caramel and steamed milk with an espresso base. A variety of locally baked goods round out the menu. Cupcakes from the Mountain Cupcakery attract customers from all over the area.
The Lebers learned how to open a coffee shop through Crimson Cup’s 7 Steps to Success coffee shop franchise alternative program. Based on Ubert’s Book, Seven Steps to Success in the Specialty Coffee Industry, the program has helped hundreds of independent coffee shops develop into thriving businesses over the past 26 years.
“As a coffee roaster and coffee shop franchise alternative, Crimson Cup believes that our company only succeeds when our customers do,” Ubert said. “As a result, we support coffee shop owners at every step – from scouting a great location and writing a coffee shop business plan to planning a menu, choosing equipment, hiring staff and providing comprehensive training.
“To support customers’ ongoing success, we supply award-winning wholesale coffee beans, coffee shop supplies, marketing support and ongoing training,” he added. “Our coffee-buying team travels more than 45,000 miles annually to bring back the finest coffee beans available to our customers, and our Innovation Lab team works every day to create new and better coffee drinks.”
