Crowdera Civic Crowdfunding Platform Featured at Kickercon 2014/TownMeet™
San Jose, CA (Silicon Valley) (PRWEB) August 21, 2014 -- Stephanie Jelley, co-founder and CMO of Crowdera, will present at Kickercon 2014 in Houston on August 28, 2014 – August 30, 2014. Jelley with Rich Matsuura, CEO of Crowdera, will moderate a panel that features the benefits of specialized crowdfunding platforms. She will also be a featured presenter for the launch of TownMeet™ for civic crowdfunding, speaking on how educational, governmental, and non-profit organizations can mobilize to leverage crowdfunding to successfully fund projects.
“At Crowdera, we have discovered that the influence of crowdfunding extends far beyond raising funds,” Jelley said. “We have helped stimulate communities’ passions for effecting social change, and in essence, creating movements to better their communities. Through our work and in preparation for launching the Civic Crowdfunding TownMeet, we will highlight how small groups and communities can build movements from the ground up,” she added.
Crowdera’s platform provides a simple, effective way for individuals and organizations to achieve their fundraising goals, reaching a far greater audience via social media to build a community of participation and support. As a “boots on the ground” organization, Crowdera supports organizations and individuals to create movements that seed changes they find important in their world.
Jelley said, “Our platform and outreach support initiatives help kick apathy into action. We’ve successfully launched our first initiative, #Change Counts, a campaign that for as little as one dollar per household, can transform a community while engaging a far greater percentage of community members. We intentionally create campaigns that inspire activism without requiring inordinate amounts of any individual’s time and money.”
The Kickercon 2014 event will feature more than 30 speakers with hundreds of attendees sharing their knowledge about creating a groundswell of support. Mark E. Sackett, with a long list of roles as President, Creative Director, Executive Producer, Director, Public Speaker and at the helm of several companies, is in a unique position to share what motivates individuals to work together for the betterment of all. Sackett said, "We connect for many reasons, mostly to sell or to get something, but I believe the power of us working together is greater than anything we can accomplish on our own. In crowdfunding where a lot of your support is faceless, we must learn to build those relationships in powerfully sustainable ways!"
The program will highlight benefits civic crowdfunding:
• Used strategically, civic crowdfunding helps schools and other non-profit organizations build meaningful engagement, spread their messages, and expand their donor base to increase their overall funding and impact.
• Civic crowdfunding helps those with limited resources to support projects in their communities and schools that inspire them. Microdonations, as little as a dollar, build community.
• Crowdfunding gives those with limited time an opportunity to support something bigger than themselves. #CommuntiyEngagement #SocialGood
