CSI’s Chicago Campus to Host World Day Event
Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) March 10, 2015 -- From March 9th to March 14th, CSI’s Chicago campus will host a Week of Expression to promote cultural exchange among students. On March 10th, the campus will celebrate World Day, a special event where students will share presentations about their cultural backgrounds. The school hopes the weeklong festivities will transcend differences among various nationalities, fostering a free environment beyond language, geography, or customs. Students from CSI’s ESL and Career programs are all invited to attend.
At CSI’s ESL Academy, international students enroll in immersive English courses that teach reading, grammar, vocabulary, and conversation skills. To improve their English, students also have the opportunity to practice with native speakers. In particular, the Chicago campus represents the immense diversity of American life. Located one block from Millennium Park in the heart of downtown, students can easily visit the city’s art museums, theatres, and cultural landmarks. Inside the iconic Heyworth Building, CSI’s classrooms are equipped with modern workstations to help promote community among its varied student body.
In addition to ESL, CSI’s Chicago campus offers three specialized career programs: Healthcare, Networking, and Business. Students in the Healthcare Career Program can enroll in medical assisting or billing and coding electives, which prepare them for careers as a phlebotomy technician, EKG technician, medical administrative assistant, and a host of other positions. The Networking Career Program trains students to become computer technicians, help desk specialists, and other support technicians. Finally, the Business Career Program provides specific certifications to become an administrative assistant, bookkeeper, loan processor, and other financial roles. All of the career programs are open to international students.
