SEATTLE (PRWEB) October 27, 2016 -- Cutwater Boats announced today it is launching two new models, the Cutwater 24 Sport Coupe and the Cutwater 30 Sport Coupe. Performance and versatility are the name of the game with these boats – they feature a completely new transom design, an open cabin/cockpit configuration and outboard power. The boats will debut at the 2016 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Nov. 3 – 7, and will also be displayed at the upcoming St. Petersburg, FL, Vancouver B.C., Orlando, FL and Seattle Boat Shows.
“We like to think of these models as the boating equivalent of a crossover vehicle,” said Jeff Messmer, vice president, Cutwater Boats. “They are sporty yet have all the comforts of a cruising boat so you get the best of both worlds. The open design of the boats makes them perfect for fishing, cruising and water sports.“
New for Cutwater, both models have double-stepped hulls that also feature Cutwater’s patented Laminar Flow Interrupter technology. The double-stepped hulls increase efficiency and performance, reducing fuel consumption and contributing to both models’ quick time to plane. The Laminar Flow Interrupter technology is responsible for the smooth, positive cornering. The new transom design on both models features an integrated live well, sink, drop-in BBQ grill and transom shower.
About the C-24 Sport Coupe
The C-24’s open, airy design truly brings the outside in. The roof, side windows, and rear bulkhead all open. The forward cabin features wrap around seating and a high/low table that drops to complete the forward berth. The C-24 provides all the comforts of larger cruising boats with a private head, two sinks with hot and cold water, drop-in BBQ grill, microwave, TV/DVD, Fusion stereo system with six speakers, subwoofer, Bluetooth, radio, and aux input. The C-24 is also available with optional generator and air conditioning. Fishermen will be excited to hear that the C-24 comes standard with a live well, fish box and sink integrated into the transom and four rod holders. Powered by a Yamaha 300 HP outboard, the C-24 is seriously fast and efficient. The advanced hull design incorporates a complex combination of a 24° deep-V hull for a smooth ride, an 11° keel pad for planing stability, reversed chines for quick planning and reduced cornering roll.
About the C-30 Sport Coupe
The C-30 is powered by twin counter rotating Yamaha 300 HP outboards and features a revised cabin top and cockpit for an open and airy feel. The cockpit is perfect for fishing with its large square footage, 30 gallon live well, large fish box, rod holders, and sink. Once dinner is caught, food prep is a breeze with the Euro-style galley which is ideal for buffet or refreshment service. The cockpit is easily converted for entertaining with plenty of seating and a drop-in BBQ grill. The C-30 accommodates six on three separate berths, for exceptional privacy and comfort even on extended cruises. On the foredeck, two flush hatches open to reveal cushioned, secure observation seats, along with a central forward lounge.
“The C-30 Sport Coupe is our biggest, fastest and most exciting Cutwater to date,” said John Livingston, president, Cutwater Boats. “The twin 300 HP Yamahas are a perfect match for the new double-stepped hull. The boat absolutely screams across the water. We’ve had customers asking us to build a boat like this for a while now so we’re very excited to deliver on that request. On a personal note, I can’t wait to use it Blackmouth fishing in the San Juan Islands this winter!”
