Dale Hagemeyer Joins the Promotion Optimization Institute as Partner
West Nyack, New York (PRWEB) September 08, 2015 -- The Promotion Optimization Institute (POI), the leading resource for trade marketing and merchandising executives, today announced that Dale Hagemeyer will be joining the leadership team at the POI as partner. Most recently, Hagemeyer served for the last 15 years as a research vice president at Gartner where he researched the application of technology in trade promotion and field sales automation for consumer goods manufacturers. As partner at the POI, Hagemeyer will oversee the global trade association’s thought leadership and best practices advisory services. Hagemeyer has served on the POI board since its inception.
“We are excited to have Dale join the POI leadership team and believe it is one of the most important and exciting developments we have had to date,” said Michael Kantor, CEO and founder of POI. “His extensive knowledge of CPG, company briefings and his broad personal relationships with many of our members will be extremely valuable to POI as we continue to serve our manufacturer, retailer and vendor members with leading practices.”
Before Gartner, Hagemeyer spent 14 years in management positions related to promotion and distribution of products at Sunbeam Corporation, The Quaker Oats Company, PepsiCo, Kraft Foods, and Kroger. He has served on various industry advisory boards for trade associations and industry periodicals.
“I’m thrilled to be taking on a greater role in the POI,” said Hagemeyer “It is the definitive venue for improving the entire promotion cycle for the consumer goods industry and I am a big believer. I am excited that in my new role, I am able to work more hands-on with members, continue doing surveys and benchmarking, and help to drive more value to the industry through collaboration.”
POI Education Advisory Boards Adds New Members
In addition to Mr. Hagemeyer’s appointment, the POI has recently added the following consumer products goods experts to its POI Education Advisory Board: Denny Belcastro, vice-president of Kimberly-Clark; Michael A. Gorshe, managing director of CGS & Food Retail at Accenture; and Chris Timko, director of Retail Development, National Brands for Topco.
The new board members will be at the upcoming POI Fall 2015 Collaborative Marketing Summit, November 4-6, 2015 in Dallas, Texas.
