Datto Accelerates Momentum with Outstanding Q2 2015
Norwalk, Connecticut (PRWEB) August 05, 2015 -- Datto, the innovative provider of comprehensive data backup, recovery and business continuity solutions, today announced the company achieved rapid growth in the second quarter of 2015. Datto introduced new products, held its largest-ever Datto Partner Conference, expanded its distribution further into Europe, and was recognized in a number of industry awards.
Driven by an uptick in international growth, Datto experienced its best Q2 to date in terms of revenue, with a 57 percent increase from Q2 2014.
Product updates and partner conference
Before an audience of more than 500 partners at Datto’s annual Partner Conference in New Orleans, Datto CEO Austin McChord unveiled new products to extend the company’s ability to protect customers’ business data no matter where it lives.
- Datto Networking Appliance (DNA) Router: The first born-in-the-cloud router, offering remote configuration and 4G failover, brings new innovation to the product category.
- Datto Backupify for Office 365: The new Datto Backupify for Office 365 solution is the first new SaaS protection product since Datto’s acquisition of Backupify last December.
- File sync and share through partnership with ownCloud: Secure file sync and share capabilities offer endpoint protection to devices in the field. ownCloud is now included with all new and deployed Datto SIRIS 1 and SIRIS 2 devices.
- Datto Linux Agent: Datto steps into the open-source world with its robust Linux Agent.
European expansion
Datto’s Total Data Protection platform is increasingly being adopted by managed service providers (MSPs) around the world. In Q2 2015, Datto signed new distribution agreements across Europe, partnering with MSPs Portland in Benelux, Upstream in the Nordics, BeMSP in France and Achab in Italy. The Datto Cloud is also expanding globally with the addition of a new data center in Australia.
With increasing demand in the UK, Datto held its first EMEA Datto Partner Conference in London this July to address the specific interests of its UK-based partners.
According to Paul Tomlinson, Managing Director of UK-based Mirus IT, “We evaluated a number of options and Datto came out on top when matched against all other providers. It is a channel-focused business that really cares about its partners.”
Company recognition
Datto was recognized in Computerworld’s “Best Places to Work in IT” list for the second year in a row. Additionally, CRN Magazine included Datto’s Christine Gassman and Samantha Ciaccia to its 2015 “Women of the Channel” list.
“Q2 was one of the biggest quarters in the history of our company,” said Austin McChord, founder and CEO of Datto. “The new product innovations released this quarter, and our continued international expansion, set the stage for even more good things to come.”
