Deadline Extended for First Global ITIL Video Contest - Judges Invite More Information Technology Pros to Enter
Woodland Hills, California (PRWEB) October 07, 2015 -- Judges for the First Global ITIL Video Contest have extended the entry deadline to October 30, 2015. Several outstanding short videos have already been submitted, but the judges want to give more organizations an opportunity to participate in this unique event.
The Information Technology Infrastructure Library® (ITIL®) is the most widely accepted approach to IT service management in the world. The contest invites ITIL practitioners to create short videos demonstrating how “ITIL Makes Life Better.”
"The entries we’ve received have been incredibly entertaining and also informative,” said Omnikron President Robin Borough, one of the contest’s judges. “From raps to cartoons, we’ve been really impressed by the creativity demonstrated by information technology professionals from around the globe.”
Videos will be judged on how well they showcase how ITIL has improved their projects or processes. Entries are on view and voting is encouraged. The videos will be judged on a mixture of creativity, entrants’ passion for ITIL and the number of votes the video receives. Voting will be open through November 13, 2015.
Prizes include a trip of the winner’s choice valued at £4,000 ($6,000), copies of the ITIL Lifecycle Publication Suite, a choice of up to three Omnikron ITIL Certification Courses, lifetime membership in itSMF and a range of gadgets.
Alan Calder, the founder and executive chairman of IT Governance, remarked: “This contest is a great injection of fun into the industry. It’s a great opportunity for ITSM professionals to spread the word of ITIL while showcasing their hidden talents – and the prizes are fantastic.”
The contest is sponsored by Omnikron, AXELOS, IT Governance, ITSMF, and ServiceNow. Judges include Peter Hepworth from AXELOS, Robin Borough from Omnikron, Alan Calder from IT Governance, Cathy Kirch from itSMF USA and Chris Pope from ServiceNow.
