Denon and Marantz Enhance AVR’s with Crestron Connected™
Mahwah, NJ (PRWEB) February 26, 2014 -- Home theater integration just got easier. D+M Group (parent company of Denon® and Marantz®), a global company dedicated to enhancing life through inspired sound solutions, is making system connectivity and integration easier by adding Crestron Connected™ technology to many of its AVR’s and preamplifiers. The new technology can now be downloaded via an free online firmware update to the Denon models: AVR-X3000, AVR-X4000 and AVR-4520CI and Marantz models: SR6008, SR7008, AV7701* and AV8801 once downloaded Crestron Connected™ makes integration of many features like multi-zone audio and network streaming control simpler than ever for custom installers.
"We are pleased to make Crestron Connected readily available to our customers. With this partnership with Crestron, a world class leader in advanced control and automation services, we have been able to simplify the integration process for the many custom integrators who sell our products," said Paul Belanger, product manager for D+M.
Crestron Connected provides the framework for a consumer electronics control system. By collaborating with Denon and Marantz, Crestron is embedding its control platform intelligence into many of D+M’s AVR and preamplifier units. The AVRs that come with Crestron Connected can be easily controlled by a Crestron automation system via Ethernet, using native control that doesn’t require complicated programming.
Now installers can easily customize the interface for both Denon® and Marantz® receivers for source switching, volume control, and internal controls such as Internet radio, using prebuilt UI templates or by designing their own.
"We’re pleased to be moving forward with our partnership with Denon and Marantz," says Steve Samson, Crestron Director of Business Development. "By embedding Crestron intelligence in Denon and Marantz receivers, it allows for seamless communication with Crestron home automation solutions, giving installers a simplified home theater solution and homeowners complete control of their home entertainment system."
To access Crestron Connected Denon and Marantz installers can simply select the firmware update option via the unit’s system setup menu.
