Topics in this interactive session include: Guideline recommendations for intensive medical management of obesity; where pharmacotherapies fit into obesity treatment algorithms; efficacy and safety of new and emerging weight loss pharmacotherapies and their indicated use in obesity; and the role of bariatric surgery in treatment of obesity, patient selection for these procedures, and evidence to support their use. This activity is supported by an educational grant from Ethicon.
