(PRWEB) December 31, 2017 -- Disability Justice wraps up their 25 Days of Giving by making in-kind donations to a local church, learning from service dogs, and sponsoring gifts for teens through the Salvation Army.
Causes supported during December 23 – 25:
Day 23: Old First, Love First, the Philadelphia division of the United Church of Christ, one of 5,000 Christian churches sponsoring a food pantry and homeless shelter for those in need. The firm donated travel sized toiletries for individuals passing through.
Day 24: Team Foster, a local organization founded by Associate Nick Liermann that sponsors service dogs to partner with veterans suffering from combat-related disabilities including PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. Service dogs visited the firms Center City office and met with staff to teach about their important jobs.
Day 25: Salvation Army, the nation’s largest faith based charity serving 30+ million Americans every year through service based programs. The firm sponsored 4 teens through the Angel Tree program that provides presents to children whose families are in need of extra assistance during the holidays.
To Partner Thomas J. Giordano, Jr., “25 Days of Giving is just my way of showing how thankful and grateful I am for the blessings I have in my life,” he said. “Working with individuals with disabilities as much as I do, you learn not to take things for granted. So by giving back, it’s our way of saying hey, we’re here for you, we appreciate you, and we’ll help as best we can.”
