DOCS Education Announces the 2015 Sedation Safety Dentist of the Year
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) March 13, 2015 -- DOCS Education honors Dr. Robin J. Henderson as its 2015 Sedation Safety Dentist of the Year as part of their seventh annual Sedation Safety Week. A panel of judges selected Dr. Henderson, among many excellent peer-nominated candidates, for her steadfast commitment to continuing education, innovation and patient well-being.
The Sedation Safety Dentist of the Year awards and Sedation Safety Week are organized by DOCS Education, a continuing education and membership organization. DOCS Education is a pioneer and globally recognized leader in the training of oral health professionals in the effective application of sedation dentistry techniques and protocols.
Dr. Henderson is the owner of Studio Smiles Northwest in Clarkston, Washington. “I love to learn and constantly improve my skills,” says Dr. Henderson. “Our entire team is dedicated to learning and using the latest techniques of modern dental care.”

Dr. Henderson’s enthusiastic pursuit of education caught the attention of the Washington State Dental Association; the Association selected her to plan the 2013 Pacific Northwest Dental Conference.
Dr. Henderson’s accolades also include several awards. In 2012, she was inducted as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists; in 2010 she was awarded a Fellow to the Pierre Fauchard Academy. The Washington Oral Health Foundation honored her with the Impact Award as the Outstanding Young Dentist of Washington State in 2008, and the American College of Dentists recognized her as the Outstanding Young Dentist in the State of Washington in 2006.
Dr. Henderson is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Spokane District Dental Society and The Walla Walla Dental Society, amongst others. She is also a two term past-president of her local component of the American Dental Association, a board member of the Washington Oral Health Foundation and has served on the Washington State Dental Association task force for Give-Kids-A-Smile.
In addition to her involvement in the dental field, Dr. Henderson is active in her community. She is President Emeritus of the Lewis-Clark State College; a founding director of the Clarkston Education Foundation; and the leader of Girl Scout Troop 3737. She and her family are also active members of the Lewis-Clark State College Scholarship Club for women’s basketball. Dr. Henderson was awarded the Althea Pabst Award in recognition of her contributions to Lewis-Clark State College by a non-alumna.
Dr. Henderson’s passion for education—for herself and her staff and patients—and her devotion to using the most recent technology to serve her patient needs in a safe and comfortable environment are exemplary.
