DocuCopies.com Donates $1,000 in Services to COPE: Navajo Nation
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIFORNIA (PRWEB) March 31, 2015 -- The online digital printing company, DocuCopies.com, this month donated $1,000 in printing services to Community Outreach and Patient Emporment (COPE), a non-profit medical organization serving the Navajo Nation in New Mexico.
The organization will also be featured on their website's "Charity Spotlight."
Like many Native American communities, the Navajo Nation faces numerous struggles with health and well-being, including 40-percent unemployment and a diabetes rate of roughly 20 percent, according to their website.
COPE provides teams of community health representatives with training, resources and materials to promote health in their communities. As their website states, "Their goal is to improve the overall health of high-risk patients with poorly controlled chronic diseases and those at risk of developing chronic diseases living within Navajo Nation."
