San Mateo, California (PRWEB) April 28, 2017 -- Dr. Michael Beckwith Headlines 2017 New Living Expo
Dr. Michael Beckwith, the influential founder of the Agape International Spiritual Center (http://www.agapelive.com), headlines the 2017 New Living Expo (NLE) along with over a hundred other influential authors, experts and practitioners at the San Mateo Event Center, April 28-30, 2017.
The Expo is Northern California's premier event for natural health, mindfulness and conscious living, and returns to the Event Center's Fiesta Hall for a fourth consecutive year after almost three decades at the Concourse Exhibition Center in San Francisco.
Agape International Spiritual Center is a trans-denominational congregation in Culver City, California, founded in 1986 featuring over 9,000 members. Dr. Beckwith is also a sought after mediation teacher, conference speaker and seminar leader on the “Life Visioning Process”, which he created.
NLE features seven two-hour Special Events as a central highlight, including Dr. Beckwith (April 29 at 1:30 PM), The Four Agreements author don Miguel Ruiz (April 29 at 4 PM), TV personality Giorgio Tsoukalos of “Ancient Aliens” fame (April 29 at 6:30 PM), and author Matt Kahn (April 29 at 11 AM).
There are also numerous free workshops and lectures, including talks from environmental author Daniel Pinchbeck (“How Soon Is Now” which includes a preface from Sting and an introduction from actor Russell Brand), writer and producer Foster Gamble (“Thrive”, “Take Back Your Power” and “The Reality of Truth”), KQED Radio Host Michael Krasny (speaking about his humor book “Let There Be Laughter”) and best-selling author Deborah King (“Be Your Own Shaman”).
One special feature is a lecture by photographer/author Susana Millman and her husband Dennis McNally, who will together talk about Millman’s book “Alive With The Dead / A Fly on the Wall With a Camera”. Millman was the Grateful Dead’s “unofficial” band photographer and McNally the Dead’s longtime publicist.
“We take great pride in presenting a wide variety of presenters and authors,” reports longtime event producer Ken Kaufman, who started producing the event (originally as Whole Life Expo) in the late 1980s.
“Our bookstore is one of the most popular destinations at the event – our attendees are thoughtful, curious people who read a lot. We’re very proud of that!”
The event also features DIY panels, a live Food Stage with chefs on April 29th, 180+ special exhibits, Yoga classes, QiGong demos, natural food sampling and dining area, the alternative bookstore and live music in the New Living Cafe. In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love in San Francisco, NLE will host a free dance party with the cover band “Unauthorized Rolling Stones” on April 29th from 7:30 to 9:30 PM.
