Drop Recipes for Android Expands the Reach of Smart Kitchen Revolution
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) November 08, 2017 -- Smart kitchen company Drop has launched its easy-to-use Drop Recipes app for Android device users. The app features a swipeable card interface with step-by-step instructions that even novice cooks can use to get creative. Drop Recipes also integrates with connected appliances from major brands like GE Appliances and Bosch and can be used in tandem with the IoT-connected Drop Scale. This release solidifies Drop as the operating system for the kitchen for all users with a passion for cooking.
The Drop Recipes app features the innovative and intuitive app interface that iOS users have enjoyed since 2014, evolved to leverage material design to make any Android user feel right at home. With hundreds of recipes, the app is chock full of delicious options and includes an ever-expanding, robust community of recipe-makers eager to share their latest creations. Other features include intelligent ingredient substitutions, smart recipe scaling—which requires the innovative Drop Scale (sold separately), as well as the ability to remotely control time and temperature on connected appliances — straight from a recipe in the Drop Recipes app.
Drop CEO Ben Harris is excited that Android users now have access to the company's connected kitchen ecosystem. "The best part is that this launch will allow us to bring the joyful cooking experience we’ve created into so many more kitchens," says Harris. "Android compatibility has been on the roadmap since day one, and we're delighted that the Android app is now ready to download."
The Drop Recipes app is available in the Google Play Store for devices running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or later. The iOS app is available in the Apple App Store.
