Drury Design Unveils Rutt HandCrafted Cabinetry Kitchen
Glen Ellyn, IL (PRWEB) April 12, 2016 -- There’s a glorious new transitional kitchen in town. Imagined by the Drury Design team and crafted in Pennsylvania by Rutt HandCrafted Cabinetry, the intriguingly innovative design will be unveiled on April 29. Drury Design invites the community to attend an open house from 6:00-9:00pm at the studio, located at 512 N. Main Street in Glen Ellyn. Admission is free with reservations requested. To RSVP, visit http://drurydesign-taste.eventbrite.com.
With a theme of “A Celebration of All Things Taste,” the evening will feature creative flavors by Craig Bell, Sub-Zero and Wolf corporate chef and owner of Big Hatt Gourmet. The new display features a Wolf range and an integrated full-size Sub-Zero refrigerator.
Scott Stultz, an accomplished artist and creator of the Ruskin series for Rutt Cabinetry, will be on hand to answer questions about the architectural influences and accoutrements that define the display’s distinctive look.
After searching for a new cabinetry line to compliment Drury Design’s fine stable of design industry partners, Gail and Jim Drury selected Rutt HandCrafted Cabinetry of New Holland, Pennsylvania. “On behalf of our team who’s admired Rutt’s work for many years, we’re excited to announce our partnership with one of the most highly regarded cabinetry makers in America. Rutt’s Ruskin series, designed by Scott Stultz, is beautiful in photos. And, in our showroom display, all the dazzling details come to life,” explains Gail Drury, CMKBD and President of Drury Design.
“Here at Drury Design, we all are looking forward the Celebration of Taste event. We welcome the community in to taste gourmet food and drinks, interact with our interior designers, and experience Rutt’s fantastic kitchen cabinetry features.” says Jim Drury, Drury Design co-owner and studio manager.
Rutt vice president Jason Artus talks about the design, "The Ruskin series is very layered and has a lot of depth. If you study how the components work with each other—it's not something found in a mainstream kitchen design. It's a complete look that offers historical accuracy with an authentic story that appeals to high-end consumers."
The line is named for 19th-century art and architecture scholar, John Ruskin, who heavily influenced the Arts and Crafts movement, as well as the rise of Modernism.
Details such as layered face frames, an interplay of frame widths, and elegant faceted columns create an elegant effect that transcends a single style and makes Ruskin cabinetry appropriate for a wide range of aesthetics.
