eMailSignature Rebrands as Xink, Launches US Operations
San Diego and Marbella, Spain (PRWEB) July 31, 2014 -- eMailSignature, the leading provider of email signature software today announced it has rebranded as Xink, marking a fundamental shift in the company’s strategy, which is now focused on enabling marketers to drive more relevant brand-centric communications and campaigns. In conjunction with the rebranding, Xink has launched its US-based operations to better serve the North American market.
Originally founded in 2004 by Bjarne Mess, eMailSignature has grown to support over 3,000 customers who use eMailSignature every day to administer the format and content of their employee email signature templates. Traditionally, the company had marketed and sold their software to IT administrators, frequently those responsible for managing the Microsoft Exchange email server.
“For years we have been helping the email administrator solve the problem of email signature format and brand inconsistency,” said Bjarne Mess, founder and Chief Technology Officer at Xink. “With this rebrand and shift in focus, we are excited to work with innovative marketing teams, who want to drive both brand consistency as well as unique customer conversation channels.”
The rebranding to Xink is an important step in the company’s evolution, which also includes the launch of the software-as-a-service edition of their software. With this new product offering, Xink has expanded the original eMailSignature value proposition from purely an email signature and brand management exercise, to creating a new marketing channel for marketing teams looking to create highly targeted campaigns to drive new site traffic, user acquisition and most importantly, revenue.
According to Gleanster Research*, Ninety percent (90%) of surveyed organizations feel their brand is reflected inconsistently in the outbound emails that are sent to customers by employees. This is not only dilutive to their brand efforts, it also has the potential to hinder sales activities as well.
Marketers are able to leverage Xink to centrally create, share and manage consistent brand experiences within their company-wide email signatures, as well as to create and schedule highly targeted marketing campaigns as part of those same signatures. Employee peer-to-peer emails have the advantage of higher open rates than do mass-email communications and properly formatted email signatures, which Xink helps to create, are far less likely to be identified as spam, in relation to mass-email counterparts.
“Email marketing software solutions such as Marketo, Oracle Eloqua and Salesforce ExactTarget have been very successful in helping marketers leverage email on a large scale to engage with customers and prospects. However, marketers have been slow to leverage the incredible volume of employee emails being sent every day,” said Mike Puterbaugh, Chief Marketing Officer at Xink. “Each and every peer-to-peer email sent by an employee is both a brand and campaign opportunity that shouldn’t be overlooked by marketers.”
