Ernst & Young LLP Announces New Executive Director in Houston
Houston, TX (PRWEB) July 22, 2013 -- Ernst & Young LLP today announced Phil Innes has joined its Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services (FIDS) practice as an Executive Director in the Houston office and will focus on the Southwest region energy sector. Innes is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 25 years of forensic accounting experience.
“The increased regulatory and enforcement scrutiny that faces the energy industry continues to challenge a sector that already operates in geographies with heightened risk. We are committed to helping our clients mitigate these risks posed by fraud and conflict,” said Brian Loughman, Americas Leader of Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services for the global EY organization. “Phil adds an exciting dimension of experience and market connectivity to the firm’s Southwest and Energy practices while also providing deep technical expertise, practice management and business development skills.”

He has focused on both litigation and investigations, including helping companies proactively improve their compliance programs and internal controls. Innes has been involved with oil and gas financial statement investigation issues, stock options back dating, energy trading and other complex financial investigations. He has also served as a compliance monitor, being approved for this role by the US District Attorney in the Southern District of New York.
