Expect 329 total CPT® Code Changes in 2014
Rockville, MD (PRWEB) July 29, 2013 -- The numbers are in! According to the American Medical Association (AMA), there will be 329 total code changes in 2014, to include 175 new codes, 107 revised codes, and 47 deleted codes.
To assist in providing valuable education and training specific to these CPT changes, Contexo Media presents the Procedural Coding Changes Workshops. It is the preeminent workshop for hands-on practical application of the 2014 procedural coding changes.

In this opening discussion, we will review the 2014 CPT changes, including new, revised, and deleted codes, as well as the RUC process and 2014 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule.
10:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.: Morning Networking Break
10:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Code Changes Specific to Inpatient and Outpatient Facilities
In this session, you'll get in-depth instruction on codes related to outpatient and inpatient services, home care, long term care services, and more.
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Lunch Provided
1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Specialty-Specific and Surgical Code Changes
This segment of the workshop will provide you with a detailed review and examination of specialty-specific coding changes, including surgery, cardiology, musculoskeletal, pathology/laboratory, radiology, and more.
3:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.: Afternoon Networking Break
3:15 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: General Changes, Guidelines, E/M
In this last session of the day, we will present an examination of new codes, general changes including guidelines, modifiers, E/M codes, and other procedures.
