Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) August 23, 2013 -- idcloak Technologies has released two free services to help users access Facebook in situations where the site is blocked, such as workplaces or countries where the site is banned. Both services carry their own advantages.
The first, a New Web Proxy, is a website-based service which allows the user to access Facebook via a server based in the UK, US or Japan. The SSL and Encrypt URL features ensure censors will not see that Facebook is being accessed by the user.
The web proxy is the simplest of the two services to use, but it only takes the user to the mobile version of Facebook, not the full site. And because this proxy is high-anonymity, Facebook will require the user to verify their identity through additional security checks.
The second released service, also available on idcloak.com, is the Sign In Facebook Proxy List. This list contains low anonymity public proxies with encrypted connections which the user can enter into their browser to connect to a proxy in a country of their choice. They may then unblock Facebook from there.
The low anonymity connection means Facebook will not require the user to additionally verify their identity, while the HTTPS means the unblocking can be carried out discretely.
idcloak’s lead web researcher, Robin Welles, offers additional reasons why a user might choose one of these technologies over the other, “We released the two services simultaneously because of the differing restrictions face by censored Facebook users.
“IP proxies from our Sign In Facebook Proxy List are arguably superior but not everyone has the administrative privileges to reconfigure their browser’s network settings. Also, some may prefer not to log in to their web accounts through a public IP proxy server. This is why we additionally released the New Web Proxy – it gives users a proxy without having to adjust their browser settings and is run inhouse so the user can feel safe entering in their Facebook login credentials.”
In early September, idcloak is set to launch yet another proxy service – the idcloak VPN unblocker – which combines all the best qualities of the two free services but operates at higher spends and with even greater discretion, “Our software-based VPN will make unblocking a neatly built-in feature for any device.”
