And not just the uber-rich are growing as consumers, but also the affluent middle class, and the urban class of consumers. With the advent of technology, social media, and a population of around 130 million people in 2017, Mexico is the most populous Spanish-speaking country in the world and the second most populous country in Latin America after Brazil and second to the United States. Developing markets of LATAM (specifically Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru) have outpaced the US, the EU and the world average for GDP growth over the last decade according to a recent JWT LATAM study.
